George Simeonidis

George Simeonidis

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of George Simeonidis.
His memory will be cherished by his wife Jessica; daughter Anastasia; son Pavlos; his parents Donna and Paul Simeonidis; his brother Ted (Angela) and nephews Valentino, Vasili, and Teo. He will be greatly missed by his Uncle Stavros Athanadis (Chelsea); and nephews Niko, Teo, Marko, and Luka. George will be lovingly remembered by countless extended family and friends.

George, born November 15, 1976 in Winnipeg. He was a devoted father and loved his family more than his words could ever express and his presence will be missed more than our words can say.

George had a passion and love for life. Whether it was talking to his customers at his restaurant, Santa Lucia Pizza on Corydon, or being with his many friends and family. He was always laughing, smiling, and making everyone feel welcome and loved.

George was proud to be Greek and loved all things Greek; the food, music, history, and culture. He had a love of sports and sports cars, especially Corvettes. George could often be seen cruising around in his yellow Corvette, one of his proud possessions.

Due to COVID restrictions, the in-person service will be by invite only. The service will also be live-streamed on Wednesday, November 10 at 11:00 a.m., at https://youtu.be/dlUOAIEChZI

With love and fond memories. A silent thought, a quiet prayer, for a special person in God’s care. George, may you rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to https://gofund.me/10f9a1ea

A bunch of us remember meeting George, at the Waterloo Location so many years ago. He was a chip off the old block and always with a smile on his face. You will missed, Rest in Peace.

  18. I can’t think of a time when George was not smiling. George was a pleasure to be around, I always thought of him as such a good guy. It’s a tragedy, George will be watching down. God bless your family!
