Remembering Doug…
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Ross.
Doug left us peacefully and quietly after a prolonged illness on May 24th, 2023.
Doug is predeceased by his father Dennis, brother Grant and grandparents George and Florence Ross, Vince and Anne Lepesko.
Doug leaves behind his mother Lily, sisters Linda, Chris (Pierre) nieces and nephew, Heather (Kyle), Derek & Chelsea, grand nephew Logan, sister in law Jill, family friend Gary, numerous friends, relatives and colleagues along with his good friend Suzanne.
Doug was a master craftsman. Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, he did it all! He was the handy man of choice, he took great pride in his work and it most definitely showed.
What Doug enjoyed most was spending time with friends, chatting and listening to music over a couple beers. He lived his life the way he wanted, he lived for the day! He was a gentle kind soul, who would give you the shirt off his back if you ever needed help. He was also a big animal lover and had many pets over the years, Yummy, Tia, Phoenix, Michia & Mooch to name a few. They meant the world to him. We know that Doug is now in a better place, where he can once again be reunited with both family and friends, both two and four legged that have went before him. We love you Doug & we will miss you. See you on the other side. Until we meet again, rest easy Doug. Cheers!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or an animal rescue of ones choice.
A private gathering of family and close friends will be held at a later date.

Thank you for all the conversations, stories, workmanship and meeting your special friend Yummy. May you rest in peace Doug.
Doug was my fella for nearly 10 years. My daughter Jenn and I did our best to help facilitate his wish to spend his last days in his apartment for as long as possible. He may be gone from this earth but all our wonderful memories remain. He will be GREATLY missed.
God has you in his keeping. I have you in my heart.
Lots of good times together haven’t spoken in some time. My heart felt condolences to the entire Ross family on the loss.
Doug always helped out others.
