David Bruce Robson

With deep sorrow and endless love, we announce the passing of David Bruce Robson on May 31, 2022 at the age of 69. Dave passed unexpectedly following an extended, though strong-willed, battle with chronic kidney disease.

Left to honour his life is his wife of 47 years, Susan; sons, Trevor (Nancy) and Kevin (Jonathan); brother, Gary (Heather); and sisters, Wendy, Kerry, and Jan. He was also a beloved friend, uncle, and brother-in-law to his vast extended family. Dave was predeceased by his mother, Jean; father, Glen; and his eldest sister, Pat.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Dave loved adventure, had an early passion for cars, and always enjoyed getting his hands dirty. Dave completed his education to become a mechanic at Red River College, the trade in which he was employed all of his working life. Despite being diagnosed with kidney disease at an early age, Dave continued to find joy by raising his family, cheering on his favourite sports teams and tackling household projects- he had a tool for everything! For those that knew him, Dave is remembered for his unwavering perseverance, patient nature, positivity, and his endless bank of dad-jokes.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Karen Braun and the transplant clinic at HSC for the care they provided over the years.

As per Dave’s wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life will occur with family and friends.
