It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Dad and Papa, Clayton Bruce.
Clayton leaves to mourn Beatrice, his loving wife of 46 years, as well as son Ashley (Trish) and daughter Dawn (Mike) and his “bestest” grandkids Nate and Mikaela
Clayton is survived by two sisters Loretta (Len) Frankow and Roberta Bruce, as well as nephew Clarence Frankow and niece Lenni (Earle) Stokes and all his special grand nieces and nephews who has special places in his heart. Sisters-in-law Glenda Campbell, Janice (Bill) Asham and brother-in-law Wayne (Anne) Armit
Clayton was a true hero to all, who would do anything for anyone at anytime
Clayton was so devoted to his family always wanting to go visit everyone or have aunty Edith come and stay. There wasn’t a week or a day where he wouldn’t talk to his sisters, or children on the phone.
His nightly talks with Nate right up to his last night with us, and in typical Clayton fashion, he said “oh my son you caught me at a bad time, I love you my son, talk to you again… Good night.”
In tears we saw you sinking,
we watched you fade away,
you suffered much in silence,
you fought so hard to stay.
You faced your task with courage,
your spirit did not bend,
but still you kept on fighting,
until the very end.
God saw you getting tired,
when a cure was not to be,
so he put his arms around you,
and whispered, “Come to Me”.
So when we saw you sleeping,
so peaceful and free from pain,
we could not wish you back,
to suffer that again.
