May 1, 1975 – October 4, 2020
It is with sadness, that the family of Cindy Weir, age 45, announce her passing on October 4, 2020 in Winnipeg, MB. She passed peacefully due to an infection on her heart after spending the day with her two brothers. She was born on May 1, 1975 in Winnipeg, to Wilfred and Lenore.
Cindy had a difficult yet rewarding life, always living day to day and enjoying every moment. Cindy took pride in volunteering, keeping busy, enjoyed watching movies and bringing smiles to everyone around her. Her wit and humor were infectious, with a simple “how you doing…?” or an open mouth laugh that had to put a smile on your face. She loved her Disney, and would take any opportunity to wear her Minnie Mouse ears any chance she got!
The family would like to thank Epic Opportunities and their amazing staff for caring for her and bringing so much joy to her life over the last few years. Also, a big thank you to Phyllis and Ivan who cared for Cindy for many years.
Predeceased by her loving parents, Wilfred and Lenore; Cindy is survived by her brothers Mark (Kelly) and Andrew (Fredo); nephew Zak, and “Chinese Sister” Wendy.
Thank you to all that have been part of and touched Cindy’s life in any way.

To Cindy’s family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn’t know Cindy as an adult but I remember her well as a child. I was her Teacher Assistant for 5 years while she attended Lord Nelson School. She later moved over to Grant Park where she became enrolled in the Life Skills Program. I then moved over to Meadows West School which was newly opened.
As a Teacher Assistant for 26 I have worked with many students. All were important to me but some made more of a mark than others. Cindy was one of them.
May she now rest in peace.
With sincere sympathy,

Our deepest sympathy to both Mark and Andrew and families,
Cindy visited our home on numerous occasions with her mom and dad and Andrew. I remember Cindy as being a very happy little girl. Now the years have drifted onwards and Cindy has grown from the little girl we once knew. Our hearts go out to you all. It is never easy to lose someone we love. Sincerely, Raymond and Donna Deederly, Sandra Robson & Barry Wishart.
