Christina Joan Sargent
July 24, 1943 – December 12, 2024

On December 12, 2024, at Selkirk & District General Hospital in true brave Christina style, she chose her day to exit the painful existence she had been living since the confirmed damage caused by the first two Covid Vaccines. They left her with ALS- ‘there’s no denying by the timeline that it was caused by the vaccines’ is what we were told by a specialist and pioneer in this field. Our beautiful Mum, you are healed now and free from your pain and suffering.

Born on July 24, 1943, to Mike and Martha raised in a family of five siblings, Darlene, Bill, Sue, Mum and Mac. Mum had many memories and stories from the farm in Rosser and Argyle. Mum was a perfectionist with most everything, Dad built them a life that allowed her to stay home with us by 35 years old when life was way more affordable. Mum enjoyed reading, crosswords (she was a champ in under 5 minutes with WFP challenging puzzles) sports, comedy, cooking, baking, dancing and travelling. She was a strong, stunning, refined, brilliant, brave and sharp lady who had no problem in short order letting you know if she didn’t agree with something, she thankfully passed down the multiple talent and witty humour to get through everything. Mum and Dad met at an earlier age while both were still in Stonewall High School as true high school sweethearts. They married in 1965 shortly after Dad graduated from the Manitoba Institute of Technology (now Red River College) with his Red Seal Certification in Mechanics and soon moved to Concord California. Mum had about 5 years of office experience from Woolworth’s head office and landed an office position at a PCH in Pleasant Hills, California. They returned back to Manitoba about 11 months later as the US ARMY/Vietnam War was possibly going to draft Dad as a mechanic, and they didn’t want to take the chance. Mum then started at the Workmen’s Compensation Board (that later changed to the Worker’s Compensation Board) until 1978.

Mum leaves behind Todd born in 1968, Trevor in 1970 and Tricia in 1973 were their greatest blessings with their spouses; eight grandchildren Megan, Trent, Tanner, Braden, Autumn, Cali, Xander, and Parker; four great-grandchildren Kurtis, River, Hudson, and Leif; as well as her brothers and sisters many other cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Mum and Dad had their sites focused on raising their family without much more than the very occasional drink Mum would have a few times a year while watching some finals of a game. Dealing with life’s trials and in keeping their focus it needed to be done without clouding their goals. We had everything with all the toys and around 1984 we moved from sunny St James to our piece of the pie in the RM of St Andrews (near Winnipeg Beach) to allow us the freedom and space to grow and live the best life. Their dreams of travelling more upon Dad’s retirement were cut short with the quick and sudden illness causing blindness and ultimately Dad’s passing at the young age of 58. Mum continued her journey and found a travel partner (George) for some time until illness caused from the vaccines put a stick in her spokes and grounded her in 2021. She diligently researched as much as she could and as usual, wouldn’t settle or take no for an answer until she was satisfied that she had the best care possible in this messed up medical system we have no other choice than to accept. As always, her plan was to never live out her final years in a care home but rather surrounded in our busy family home with many people coming by to visit.

We know Dad was there waiting to meet you and show you the place is loaded, and it had everything. Till we meet again. We love you Mum and Dad XOXO. You both can rest, ‘I saved you a seat’, ‘I hope you dance’. There are Angels among us.
