On March 10, 2025, our family said farewell to our beautiful mother, Baba and sister. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time. She was 80 years young.
If you knew Mom, you’d remember her as an elegant, striking woman. She loved to shop and enjoyed buying for others too. She was a kind, generous and empathetic friend. Mom delighted in dining out with family and friends like Fereshteh, Tamara and Missy. She was a true “Foodie”. Mom found joy in cooking gourmet dinners for everyone. Not a holiday or occasion went by without a sumptuous meal lovingly prepared for all the enjoyment. Everyone was made to feel special.
Oh, how mom loved travelling! She visited Europe 5 times, walked in Athens, Santorini, the Bahamas, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Mexico, St Martin, Hawaii, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Texas. She enjoyed 5 winter holidays in Palm Springs. Everyone received souvenirs and gifts from the places she visited.
She was predeceased by her parents, Tommy and Joan Buick, Godmother, Olga Kuzenko, and dearest friend Ronnie Andrykow.
Left behind to grieve her loss are cherished son Scotty Bachman; treasured daughter Ainslee Trudeau; beloved brother Roddy Buick; and her precious granddaughters Shey and Ashtyn Trudeau. Mom was beyond proud of these two amazing women and delighted in watching them flourish in both their personal and professional lives.
Thank you to Dr. Lee, Dr. B. Janzen and the MAID team allowing mom a peaceful passing in her own home on her own terms.
Cremation has taken place. At mom’s request, a special brunch will be held for family and closest friends to laugh and talk about our awesome mom and Baba.
VICH NAYA PAM’YAT
May her memory be eternal
