June 26, 1940 – January 6, 2021
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our Mother, mother-in-law, sister, nana and friend, on January 6 at the age of 80.
Bernice was predeceased by her mother Bertha (Betty); father Harold; husband James and her partner of many years Ed Garvie. She is survived by her sons Brett (Linda) and Trevor (Dorine); also left to mourn are her beloved grandchildren Serena and James (JB) and loving sister Betty. Also surviving her is the Larter Family (Jacquie, Keith and Ireland) and relatives in Minneapolis as well as very special friends Joyce, Elizabeth and Elaine. Last but not least her beloved faithful dog and best friend, Miss Daisy. She will be greatly missed.
Bernice worked for many years at Data Business Forms in the payroll department, until Data closed and she embarked on her much deserved years of retirement. She enjoyed many years with friends and family, especially her Wednesday’s with Serena. Bernice and Ed spent many summers at Betula Lake where they made many lifelong friends.
We would like to thank the wonderful Doctors, nurses and staff who worked tirelessly to provide care and compassion in her final moments.
Cremation has taken place and due to the current restrictions a private family interment will take place at a later date.
