Anne was born on a farm in Morden, MB, on April 9, 1933. In 1937, at the age of 4, her family moved to Winkler and then to a farm at Plum Coulee. In September, 1944, at the age of 11, the family relocated to Gladstone where they resided for many years.

Soon after the move, Anne begun to attend cottage meetings where she learned about Gimli Bible Camp. After a few summers in attendance, she decided to follow Jesus. She started attending Pine Creek Gospel Hall, and at the age of 14, accepted Jesus as her Saviour and was baptized in the creek nearby.

Anne and a friend Helen, who were in grade 8, along with her brothers, attended a one room school, Valley Stream. Their teacher, Margaret Collier taught them for one year. Anne and Margaret became good friends later on while both attending Pine Creek Gospel Hall. They wrote to each other when Margaret left to teach in another location.

Anne completed her grade 9 at the school in Austin.

At the age of 17, Anne went to St. Catherines, ON, to work at the Canning Factory and stayed in the dorms there for 2 months in the fall for 2 consecutive years. When she was there, Anne attended the local church where she met two sisters; Eileen and Mildred, their mother and others that she kept in touch with over the years.

On her way home from Ontario, Anne made a stop in Austin to attend Evangelistic tent meetings. This is where she met Sam Williams, who later would become her brother in law.

At 18, Anne took a job as a Nanny for Grace Norris, which consisted of looking after her 2 children and cleaning the home for 2 years during the winter.

Anne took a sewing course in Steinbach with her then neighbour; Tina Friesen. She became a seamstress and sewed many of her children’s clothing.

When Anne was home, she attended the local church regularly. There she met Arnold Watson, who offered her rides between the church and her home. Soon after, Anne married Arnold in the spring of 1955. They made their home in Portage La Prairie where they had three children; Ruth (Feb.1956), Eunice (Dec. 1956), and Daniel (Jan. 1960).

In 1962, the family moved to Winnipeg. They relocated within the city to accommodate their children’s schooling. Anne was a homemaker for a few years and in 1976, decided to upgrade her education and received her grade 12 equivalency certificate.

In 1977, Anne then applied for work at Air Canada at the downtown office in Winnipeg and was hired. She continued working for them for 18 years and retired in September 1995. While working for the airline, she took many trips to multiple Provinces in Canada, parts of the US, Australia and Europe.

Anne obtained her driver’s license at the age of 50, where she took pleasure in driving many people who did not have a vehicle or couldn’t drive. She would take them to church, bible study, doctor’s appointments, luncheons, etc. She was always wanting to help.

Anne was very passionate about ministries on radio and television. If she wasn’t able to travel to the various locations as a missionary, she prayed and offered financial support. She attended church regularly throughout her life until she went into care. There she received visits from friends and family who supported her faith for the remainder of her years.

The staff at Calvary Place were exceptional in their care of Anne and the family was very thankful for that.

Anne loved all of her family and prayed for them daily. She would say “what else can I do but pray? I have lots of time!”
