Anita Crista Baker

In loving memory

November 26, 1946 to June 17, 2024

Anita was born in West Germany in 1946 and travelled with her family to Canada, finally arriving in Winnipeg in 1951. She graduated from Gordon Bell High School in 1965. She was a long time employee of Holiday Chevrolet, as well as Dynamex Courier Service where she retired from in 2006. Anita was an avid golfer in both Canada and the United States. During her stay (25 Years) as a snowbird in Arizona, she became an active member of the Cottonwood Hiking Club and travelled many of the trails throughout the state. Her laughter and dry wit, and endless energy will be sorely missed by all who met and loved her.

Anita leaves behind her husband of 48 years (Blake), her son Craig (Carla), and her granddaughter Emma, her step-son Ryan, her brother Ted (Lydia), along with a host of relatives, friends and acquaintances who will deeply miss this gentle soul. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the Winnipeg Paramedic Services and the staff at the Grace Hospital for their incredible dedication and professionalism in our hours of need.

You will be grately missed . We lived oceans apart but you were always close by thanks to modern technology. I have only fond memories of my name sake aunt and dad’s little sister from childhood on. You leave behind many sad and shocked family members and friends that loved you dearly & will miss you every single day 😥. Til we meet again 🙏
    Your niece Anita 💕

Anita, we are going to miss you terribly. Over the years we have had many great times together. I will miss your great cookies on the golf course.

  4. Anita and I were paired up as golf partners 15 years ago and instantly became friends. Over the years here and down south we hiked, golfed and laughed together. Her kindness and generosities will always be remembered by those whose life she touched.
To Blake and her family, love and good memories only. Anita my friend, I miss you already. Hugs and kisses Robyn

I met you almost 48 years ago when we worked at Holiday Chevrolet we have been freinds since then. I cannot believe someone as alive and fit as you is gone from this world. You were the best freind to me all those years and even though I now live in Nova Scotia you will be dearly missed. My dearest friend Anita RIP until we meet again.

Anita, I am glad I came to visit you in Az.
I miss you terribly and always will. You have been a good friend to mum and dad. I hope they are taking good care of you in heaven. Tell Rick to do his magic for the USA. We are such a mess.

We will miss getting together with Anita and Blake during the winter. We imagine no one will miss her more than Blake. They were such a great couple.
