It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Andreas Michael Koutis on April 28, 2025.
Andreas was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Niki; his children, Helen and Michael; his brother, Demetri (Androula); and many cherished family members and friends in Cyprus and Boston, USA. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Kyriacos; his brothers, Kyriacos and Minas; and his parents, Michael and Maria.
Born in Cyprus, Andreas left his homeland at the young age of 16, moving to England to pursue a career in hairdressing. His journey eventually brought him to Winnipeg, where he worked at Greco Hair Salon, originally founded by Jerry Greco. Through dedication and hard work, Andreas not only became a respected figure in his profession but also proudly took ownership of the salon, continuing its legacy. The amazing crew and clients at Greco’s over the years created some of his most cherished memories.
Andreas’s warmth, humor, and unwavering spirit touched everyone who knew him. May his memory be eternal.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Ave, with Rev. Fr. Nikolaos Tambakis presiding. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
