Alf passed away with his family by his side.

Alf was predeceased by his wife Audrey, the greatest gift a person could receive; his parents, Robert and Barbara Keber; and his brother Bob.

Left to clean up the junk are his son Don (Deb); daughter Barb Jenken (Dan); and son Bob (Viv). Remaining family members are grandchildren Reyna Romijn (Greg), Jordan Merkley (John), Whitney Homenuk (Juris), MacKenzie Keber (Shelby), and Mitchell Keber (Brooklynne); great-grandchildren Payton, Quinn, Rylie Merkley, Grant, Halle Homenuk, and Audrie Keber; and sister Dorothy Flight.

Alf joined the CPR as a wiper in 1948 retiring in 1986 as a Locomotive Engineer, joined the Winnipeg Seniors Citizens Radio Club as a Ham operator, The Happy Homesteaders Barbershop Choir, Parkside Plaza Senior Club, Knights of Pythius & Dokk, a member of the East St. Paul 215 Legion, and one of the instigators of the CPR coffee group.

He would like to thank his Gatekeeper and Two Spiritual Guides for the wonderful life they led him through.

Alf expressed that “As you climb the ladder of life’s challenges, there are the friends and acquaintances that you acquire, don’t be afraid to give a helping hand in Friendship, Love and Guidance.”

A celebration of Alf’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
