Aaron Jack Thomas

Aaron Jack Thomas

It is with great sadness we announce Aaron Jack Thomas (37 years old) has gone home to be with his Savior.

Aaron will be sadly missed by his beautiful and devoted wife, Vanessa Spence; his four beautiful daughters, Shayla, Sienna, Sophia and Skylaa and his little boy Xavier; his Mom and Dad; Susan and Derrick; his Only Sister and Best Friend Jodi and Brothers Joshua (Brandie) and Matthew; and his Special Auntie Barbie and Uncle (his Other Dad) Randy. Aaron was the first son to all of his Aunties and Uncles and a brother to all of his cousins. He leaves behind Uncle Randy and Auntie Barbie (Danielle & Brighton); Uncle Marvin (& Steph) (Riley, Graham & Lennon); Uncle Gary and Auntie Kim (Jessie); Auntie Debbie and Uncle Brian (Corey, Elaine, Deanna); Uncle Keith and Auntie Maria (Janet & Justin), Uncle Shawn (Sally) (Valerie); Uncle Ian; Auntie Sylvia (Haley, Keena & Max); Uncle Ron and Auntie Farrell (Colby); Auntie Sandi (& Steven) (Saagate); Special In-laws Candace & Joe; Grandmothers Doreen Thomas and Louise (Dolly) Morrisseau; Auntie Chips; and mother–in-law Patsy. Aaron also leaves behind Nick and Brendon, who he called his little brothers and who he never stopped being there for. He also leaves many other family and friends.

Aaron was predeceased by his Grandpa Jack Thomas and Grandpa Ronald Desjarlais; and father-in-law Ted.
Aaron’s greatest love was for his family. He grew up with his true love Vanessa and together they cherished their four daughters. His daughters were his pride and joy and the greatest gifts he leaves behind. Aaron was the protector of the family and was always there for everyone; especially Vanessa and the girls; his brothers and sister; his mom and dad; and his cousins.

Aaron had the gift of humour and could make anyone smile and laugh. He loved to hunt and fish and be in the bush. He always wanted to live under the stars and the trees. A special thank you to his uncles who taught him how to hunt, fish, camp, ski-doo, four wheel and just enjoy life. Aaron’s beautiful smile and laughter will be with us always.

Aaron endured and fought for four years after his surgery. His faith and his strength came through prayer and his love for his family. We will cherish and miss him forever.

My first baby, my first son, my first love…I didn’t truly know how much you could love someone until I met you. You were my inspiration; my strength and you were mine. The void in my heart will be empty until I see you again. Until then I promise to love, cherish and protect your girls and Xavier just as you had. See you in heaven my little Upanew…Love Always Mom.

A special thank you to all of Aaron’s Uncles and Aunties who helped care, love and raise him.

“My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever”.
Psalm 73:26

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m., at The First Nations Church on 44 Tentler Avenue. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Following the interment, a luncheon will follow back at First Nations Church.
