Albert (Tony) Turman

Albert Tony Turman
February 27, 1944 – August 12, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tony Turman on August 12, 2021 at the age of 77 years.

Tony was predeceased by his wife Shirley in May 2011. Left to mourn his memory and celebrate his life is his son Brent; daughter-in-law Wendy; granddaughters Alyssa and Avery; daughter Kim; son-in-law Richard; grandsons Ryan and Kyle and furry grandpal Murphy. Tony’s memory will also be cherished by many special family members, neighbours and friends whom he cared for and thought so highly of.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses from the 4th floor Grace Hospital for your gentle care towards Dad and compassion through this difficult time.

With respect to Tony’s wishes and the current pandemic, there will be no formal memorial service held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba be made in Tony’s memory.

“We love you and will miss you tremendously Dad/ Geido! Give Mom/ Baba a hug from all of us!”

    Brent, Kim and families,
We were so saddened to hear of your dad’s passing so unexpectedly. We have been good friends for many years, more recently by phone in the last couple of years, or when we would pick up pickerel for him from Gimli. We will miss those phone calls and his ready laughter. We heard all about your children as they grew up. There was never a prouder guido.
We felt the same saddness when your mother passed and hope that, if there is an afterlife, your parents are once again reunited.
You have both done him proud in your own lives and in raising your children. We got regular reports from him in that regard. May your fond memories of Your dad bring you comfort during this difficult time.
Love to you and your families.
    Dorothy and Gil Lachance.

We had not talked with your Dad for a long time. He called us just two weeks ago and Gord talked with him about old times and Brent and Steve playing hockey and him helping us with masonery work and the good times had as we stood on snow banks watching you boys. Then he called back 5 minutes later asking where our granddaughter was going to universary as both his and our granddaughters are going into education, We are so thankful that he reached out to us. He made our day. Our deepest condolences. Gordon and Nina Duke and family.
