Dear Shirley,
Words fail to express my deep sorrow for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family.
June
have known Eddy for over 50 years. Worked with him at Coremark and grew up together on the old army base area in winnipeg. saw Eddy every so often at the safeway on osborne near where he lived. Always a friend growing up and will always be a friend in my heart. Was always a reminder of our glory days as kids, and had loads of memories of our growing up together. Will miss you Eddy. Your old buddy Brian.
Funny how it seems like we have all the time in the world, only to realize how quickly it passes before us. Although death is a part of life, we’re never ready to say goodbye.
While I mourn your passing, I promise to keep you alive in my memories.
Rest in Peace Uncle Eddy.
Very sorry for your loss..
Eddy was a very good friend of my brother’s Gord Bruce
We were army brats. Ed could be found at our house often.
I remember him with a smile on his face. He was always fun to be around.
Gord has also passed away, I’ve thought of Ed from time to time..he was unforgettable!!

You’ve left us much too soon Uncle Eddie but I know you’re resting peacefully now. You will always live on through so many family stories and memories and I will continue to share them with fondness. Whenever I watch our Jets and Bombers win, I’ll be cracking a little smile and looking upwards. Rest easy Uncle, I love you.
I left Shilo in 1966 but I never forgot Eddy Hayes. We were in the same classrooms in elementary school, same hockey teams, played lunch time soccer and did all the things kids do. Whenever I think of my childhood in Shilo there are two people I always remember, Barry Rice my best friend and Eddy Hayes. Everybody wanted to be Eddy’s friend and I believe everyone was his friend. He was such a character, whose antics made us laugh and want to hang with him. So, Eddy you may be gone but you’ve never been forgotten nor will you ever be forgotten, you were just that kink of guy. My deepest condolences to his mother, brother Ron and the rest of the Hayes family.
