November 27, 1945 – October 21, 2020
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our brother Curtis from Covid-19. Curt was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Ruby and his brothers Gordie, Jack and Perry. He leaves to mourn his sisters Marlene Hrenchuck and Valerie Goertzen; along with numerous family members.
Curt was born in Swan River and moved to Winnipeg in 2004 to be near his family. He had a passion for trains all his life and was an avid hockey fan. He was smart and funny with a quick wit and loved to talk and joke with his visitors at the care home where he lived. While there he enjoyed playing bingo, singing karaoke and interacting with the other residents and staff members.
We will all miss him terribly.
Interment will take place in Swan River at a later date.

Oh Curt. I just saw today that I could leave a comment here. It’s been over 13 months now since you left us, but here I am with tears running down my cheeks. I miss visiting you in the care home, shopping and bring your never-ending Cokes and treats, having you show us what all the buildings were, talking about the past. I still have things to ask you but now no one else can tell me what I want to know. It was so hard at the end, not being able to visit with you because of Covid, but I’m so glad that Valerie and I got to talk with you on the phone. You were strong while we both cried. The last of our 4 brothers. I miss you and love you. ❤️
