It is with great sadness that the family of Gary announce his passing, on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at the age of 61 years. Gary passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
He will forever be missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Marlene and beloved children Christine and Michelle (James Crawley). Gary treasured his five grandchildren Kaylee, Carley, Andrea, Alysha and Kyle, and one precious great granddaughter Blake. He will be remembered by his Mother Wilma Trimble, Sister Benita (Brad) Rostie, in-laws Bob Matechuk, Ron Matechuk, Allan (Sherri) Matechuk, Lori (Mike) Hamilton and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Gary was predeceased by his dad Willy Domann.
Gary was born in Winnipeg Manitoba at the St. Boniface Hospital and lived there until the age of 6, when his family moved to Thompson Manitoba.
He attended Westwood Elementary, and R.D. Parker where he met Marlene. They married young and started their family. He worked as an equipment operator, and other positions in the City of Thompson for over 29 years.
As an active traveler, Gary experienced (Germany, Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican, Mexico, Canada and US). He loved to travel annually to Cuba where he
met numerous special friends from around the world. He collected coins and memorabilia from Germany and Cuba.
He enjoyed listening to music, gardening, paint ball and was a big time history buff. Gary paid extreme attention to detail whenever he painted pictures or put together model cars, trucks, trains, tanks, planes, and boats. Gary had a passion for cooking, and a sweet tooth like no other.
