February 2nd, 1995 – April 16th, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving son and brother Steven Anthony Sealy on April 16th, 2020 at age 25. Steven will be lovingly missed by his mother Kristine McDonald and his sisters Angela Sealy and Sarah McDonald.
Steven was born on February 2nd, 1995 at 5 pounds 15 1/2 ounces in Cranbrook, British Columbia. He lived in Edmonton, Prince George and Kamloops before finally settling in Winnipeg when he was three years old. Steven grew up to be a six-foot-tall, muscular young man with many passions and talents. Steven was an athletic risk-taker from a young age. When Steven was young he would climb the walls and do flips off the swings. His friends from junior high and high school remember him as “a beast with the football”. Steven grew up to be passionate about martial arts and was always interested in teaching others.
Steven had a way with words where he could make just about anything into something funny, he never failed to make us laugh. He had a smile that would light up the room and a laugh that was infectious. Steven was a talented writer, you could see it in the lyrics he wrote. He often expressed himself through his writing and loved sharing his songs with those around him. The words he wrote on paper always had soul and meaning behind them.
Steven had a unique way of thinking and cared deeply for others. He was a protector who went out of his way to make those around him feel safe and secure. His strength made him into a devoted and committed friend and brother. Steven had a small family and because of that, he formed many strong bonds with his friends and their families. It was practically impossible not to take him in with open arms because of his kind heart. Steven was a young man with many lovable qualities and so much more to offer and show the world. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all of us.
Any updates on his memorial will be posted on his Facebook wall.
