With deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandma. After a battle with lung disease, Cindy passed away peacefully at HSC with family by her side.
Cindy will be missed by her husband Jeff; sons Bradley (Stephanie), Charles (Alyssa), Christian, Cameron (Chantel) and Joseph; grandsons Lucas and Landon; sister Corena; brother Bill; mother-in-law Verna; sisters-in-law Gloria (Richard) and Megan; brother-in-law Joel (Brenda); along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Ronald and Jo-Ann; father-in-law Harvey Nichols; and brother-in-law Tony Sousa.
Cindy loved to bake and cook for her friends and family by creating traditional Ukrainian dishes. She was known for always being there and helping others out when they needed it without hesitation. Cindy spent every Saturday night playing Kinsmen Bingo with her family. Cindy worked at Extra foods and Dollarama.
The family are very grateful for all the help from her family and friends during this time with all their love and support.
At Cindy request she will be cremated and a service will be held at a later date.
Donations in Cindy’s memory may be made by paying it forward or a charity of your choice.

Beloved wife of my best friend Jeff I will miss u Cindy always welcomed me in your home Loved u for that and U and Jeff helped me when I was down during my Divorce!!
I was Joseph’s grade 2 teacher many years ago. It was during this time I got know his mom Cindy. She was kind, caring, and loved her youngest son dearly. She was a great parent to work with as we tried to make school a good experience for Joseph. She wanted only the best for him as did his dad, Jeff. I remember the gift bag Joseph gave me the last day of grade 2. It was a real loot bag filled with so many nice things. Thanks to Cindy. The years went by and I always enjoyed a chat with Cindy when she worked at Dollarama. Wishing the Nichols family my sincere condolences at the loss of a wonderful lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
