Guy was a resident of Windsor Park for over 50 years. He raised his family there and was always involved in the local community and church. Guy belonged to Toastmasters and the Knights of Columbus and with Florence loved to socialize with their many friends at community events and dances.
Guy was always an active person with many hobbies, interests and skills who kept himself busy well into his later years. He was a lover of nature and all living things, was an avid hunter, both with rifle and bow and arrow, and a fisherman who often travelled to the northern camps. Guy and Florence enjoyed travelling across Canada and the States as well as through Europe. He enjoyed classical music and was an avid reader on history and art. Guy was an especially talented wood worker who could build everything from a garage to fine furniture. He also belonged to a club that built and erected beautiful Purple Martin Houses across the Province. He also enjoyed auto mechanics, building and flying radio-controlled airplanes, photography, gardening and cooking. Guy truly led a full life. He was a good man who made many friends over the years. Guy will be dearly missed by his loving family.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff and management at River Ridge Residence and to Dr. Jaramillo, Drake-Medox and Home Care for their care and friendship to Guy over the past several years.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Guy will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Florence in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
