September 19, 1931 – January 12, 2020
With great sadness the family announces the passing of Joe on Sunday, January 12.
Joe leaves behind his beloved wife Carrol, they would have celebrated their 70 wedding anniversary on March 4, 2020. She will miss him dearly. Joe was so proud of his family and would tell anyone who would listen about them. He is also survived by daughter Lynda (Gord) Pottinger; son David (Sandra) Wronski; grandchildren Kimberly, Kellee, Cheryl (Gil) and Trisha (Amanda); and great-grandchildren Chelsey, Caitlyn, Bradi, Kacie, Aiden and Ryder.
Joe was known for his ability to build almost anything and fix everything else. He was employed in the electrical field for over 40 years, retiring in 1995 to spend more time enjoying his favourite place, which was his cottage in Sandy Hook. Joe was a loyal member of the Elmwood Legion for the last 15 years and loved to watch the Jets and Bombers.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held in his honor with immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind).
