Rosemary was born August 1, 1929 in Pine Falls where she was raised. She enjoyed school and graduated as valedictorian of her class. She was active in many sports and activities including golf, swimming, curling, baseball, and camping. After high school she attended and graduated from Normal School. Her first job was teaching in Great Falls where she met and married Mark Reid. They raised four children and moved from Great Falls to Seven Sisters Falls in 1956 and to Winnipeg in 1965.

In Winnipeg she was active in her church group for many years. Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling around North America in their travel trailer for many years. In their retirement they enjoyed their cottage on the Bird River, winters in Acapulco, and a trip to Asia. She always enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rosemary has requested a family celebration of her life in Seven Sisters Falls and Pine Falls in the spring.

The family thank the staff at Riverwood Square for the many enjoyable years she lived there, the staff at the St. Boniface ER and at Riverview E3 ward.

  1. I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I have so many fond memories of your mom, she was a good friend of our mother Pat Morton, in Seven Sisters. Our sincere condolences to the Reid Family.

So sorry to read about Rosemary’s passing . Our two families go back a long ways. I was flower girl at Rosemary and Mark’s wedding – was also Doug’s first babysitter. I know you will miss her but knowing she had a rich and rewarding life will be a comfort. Lots of good memories.
