Norbert Joseph Durupt, 68, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on September 28, 2024. Born on April 4, 1956, in St. Claude, Manitoba, Norbert grew up in Winnipeg, where he made countless memories and touched the lives of many.
Norbert was a loving father to his three children, Nicole, Kevin, and Nathan; and a proud grandfather to Patience, Roxanne, Asher, and Ares. He was also a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Norbert is survived by his siblings Germaine, Georgette, and Henry, Diane and Ralph, Odette and Peter, Robert and Catherine, and sister-in-law Darja. He was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Beatrice, as well as his sister Emily, and brother Denis.
Norbert will be remembered for his positive outlook on life and his playful sense of humor. He loved to pull pranks and keep his family laughing. Despite his lighthearted nature, he was deeply attentive and always remembered what was happening in his family members’ lives, never failing to ask how they were doing or share words of encouragement.
A celebration of Norbert’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Champlain Community Center, located at 282 Niverville Avenue, in Winnipeg. Friends and family are welcome to come together to share memories and honor his legacy.
