With broken hearts we announce the passing of Chris Frederickson on May 23 at the age of 55.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, parents Brian & Jaqueline, brother Curtis, grandmother “Nanny” Olive, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chris had a 35 year career with WRHA, a prep cook, a driver and back in the kitchen as a cook again before his retirement in November 2022.
Chris was talented in many areas. His passions were music, cars, mechanics, carpentry, guitar building and graphic design. He loved playing drums with the band Rockspur. He bought a 73 Corvette that he rebuilt and restored and loved taking it to car shows. While working he bought his dream/project car, a1960 Buick Invicta Bubbletop, which he hoped to restore in his retirement years.
Shortly after his retirement he was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. He endured over a year of chemo and radiation, fighting for his life until the bitter end.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 2 at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy.

Our deepest sympathies to Sharon, Brian, Jacquie and Curt. Chris and I had lots of good times when we were kids. Once when we were 5 or 6, would play in our parents cars. Pretending to being chased by the “cops”. I would be turning the steering wheel back and forth, as fast as I could, thinking it would make the car go faster. Chris corrected me. “No to make the car go faster do this” he leaned forward into the steering wheel more. Boy we really knew cars back then. LoL. I had always looked up to him and thought he was smart, cool, kind and fun to be with. I regret not spending more time with him as an adult. Regardless, I loved Chris and he is loved by many. We send hugs, kisses and condolences to Sharon. Thank you Sharon for sharing your life with Chris.

Chris will be missed. Sharon my heart goes out to at this difficult time in your life. Sharon be comforted in knowing he is not suffering anymore.
