August 1, 1944 – December 17, 2022
It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother on December 17, 2022.
Frankie leaves to mourn his wife and love of his life of 60 years, Rosemarie (nee. Hunt); daughter Tracy (Al Bordass); son Trevor; grand daughter Brooke (Adam Schaefer); sisters Kathy Hominuk and Jennifer Lewandowski; sister-in-law Shirley Hindmarsh; nieces Kimberly Hindmarsh, Tara Zyla, Amber Hominuk, and nephews Keith Hominuk, Gerry Staub, Robby Lewandowski. Also left to mourn are Virginia and David Low, Vivian Stolar-Wnuk, Verna Lewandoski, Bobby Derkach and Dennis Derkach, all of whom were loved and cherished as his sisters and brothers.
He was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were always Chicago Blackhawks, Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots. He could cite statistics for each and knew who played for which team and when.He played hockey in the Lady Bing Hockey League, baseball in Tee Kay, Maple Leaf, Kildonan Co-ed and Flashbacks slow pitch leagues. He also enjoyed his bowling afternoons with sister Kathy at Rossmere Lanes.
Watching Tracy play ringette, Trevor playing baseball and Brooke attaining her black belt in Tae Kwon Do were his absolute pride and joy.
As a classic car enthusiast, he knew the year, make and model of each car. Sunday night cruises with Trevor were his ultimate enjoyment. He would literally sit in anticipation of Trevor to say “Dad, are you up for a cruise?” and up he would jump and say, “See you later.”
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care and Home Care units at HSC for working with us to have Frankie come home as he wished.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

So sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. Are thoughts are with you. I was always impressed how Frank always seemed so happy and his smile would always light up the room. My fondest memory of Frank was one day at Sanford many years ago when Frank and myself just through the football around for a couple hours. Well Frank was mostly throwing it and I was catching it, he had one hell of an arm.

Deepest Sympathy Rosie and family on the passing of Frank! Frank and I worked together for many years and I will always remember the good times at CIBC. He never got mad and had a very calm personality. I’m sure there were many times he would have wanted to let us have it, working with women, but he never showed it.
REST IN PEACE FRANK!

Rosie and family, I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Frankie.. Though I haven’t seen much of the family in the past few years. I am saddened by his passing. He was like a dad, uncle and friend to me. I spent most of my child hood years, well into my adult years as part of the Staub family. I loved Frank and he will be missed dearly. The circle of life is very hard to understand at times, but there is no doubt in my heart, he is in a better place. Till we meet again. Love, Mark Lamoureux.
