On August 25, 2022, Lois Cynthia Peters peacefully passed away into the arms of our heavenly Father. Her father Winston Ashby, her mother Stella Ashby, her sister Janice Ashby-Williams and Yvonne Williams, predeceased her.
Lois will be greatly missed by her husband – Rev. Amos Peters, her children – Brian, Lorne, Brent, Janice (Kalyle Cycon), her granddaughter Janique, her siblings (Urcille Spencer and Teccla Millington), cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, the church family, and dear friends.
Lois was born in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. As a teen, Lois committed her life to God and continued to spread the Good News through music. In 1966, she began a new life with her husband Rev. Amos Peters. Their beautiful love reigned for 56 years. She was a very kind woman and was devoted to all those she held dear to her heart. Lois supported her husband in his ministry that God had entrusted to him. She was an asset to his Blessed Hope Television Ministry and his Church Ministry. For 25 years, Lois was a Head Supervisor at the TD Bank Data Centre. Lois was an exceptional seamstress and created beautiful garments for loved ones. She cared for those in need – always offering prayers and words of encouragement. Lois’ gentle and witty personality always lightened the hearts of those around her. We know that Lois would want us to live, walk, trust and rest in Jesus Christ.
At her request, her funeral was a private service.
The Peters Family thanks the firefighters, paramedics and the Grace Hospital staff for the care they provided our beloved in the final moments of her life.
Lois/Mom, we will treasure the memory of your sweet smile, soft voice and love. You will be greatly missed by many and will be forever remembered in our hearts.

Dear Peter’s family and especially to my beautiful friend Janice. Our heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your wife and mother. I only met Lois once but through that and all the beautiful stories Janice has shared, she is and always will be an angle that was loved. May you find comfort in the lord and peace knowing she is in good hands.

Janice – I am so very sorry for you loss. Words fail at times like this, you mom sounds like she was a remarkable woman who had a lot of love to share. You have been in my thoughts – sending a warm hug friend. – Colette Hogue

Dear Auntie Babsie (that was the family name for Auntie Lois – I only realised that Lois was her name in my early teens). J will miss her voice over the phone, her words of encouragement, her exhortation to keep my eyes on Jesus in view of his imminent return, but I am consoled in this one assurance that she is with Jesus her precious Lord and Saviour.
Our love and prayers goes out to Uncle Amos, Brian, Lorne Janice and Brentvand all the family that are grieving at this time. God bless you
