1953-2022
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved father, son, brother brother-in-law, grandfather, uncle, and friend Jim Cook on May 11, 2022, at the age of 69 after a long and courageous fight with cancer and diabetes.
Jim is predeceased by the love of his life Cindy and sister-in-law Maureen. Jim is survived by his three sons; Adam (Kristin), Benjamin, and Travis (Chelsey), his parents; Gordon and Violet; his brother Doug; and sister Lois (Wayne) as well as his 6 grandchildren and one on the way, numerous nieces and nephews, and his dear and special friend Holly.
Jim was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and eventually moved to Winnipeg where he met his life partner Cindy and raised their 3 wonderful sons. Jim also had a very long and fulfilling 32-year career with the Winnipeg Police Service where he served in many different departments and was a mentor to many past and present officers.
Jim was a great person and a very special man and will be missed by all who knew him. In keeping with Jim’s wishes a cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

Miss you so much. You’re grandsons will know all about you. You were my hero and my best friend. Love you forever, until we meet again.
