It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn. She passed away suddenly at home in Winnipeg, on January 11, of this year.
She leaves to mourn, her daughters Kendall (Leonard) and Corin (Kevin); grandchildren Eric, Alexiss and Jonathan; great-grandchild Ava. Lynn also leaves to mourn her mother Iris; sisters Mary Ellen and Barbara (Rick); brother Frank (Pam); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lynn was predeceased by her father Frank.
Lynn was born and raised in Winnipeg, growing up in the East Kildonan area of the city. She attended Munroe Jr high school and later attended R.B. Russell Vocational school for high school, however, staying in the East Kildonan area, her entire life.
Working at Kmart from her teenage years until it closed in 1996, Lynn raised her two daughters on her own, during which time she also worked at 7-11 part-time. After the closure of Kmart, she continued to work at 7-11 full-time until she retired in 2019.
As per Lynn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to the COVID restrictions at the time of passing, no funeral service was held.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bronx Park Community Centre, 720 Henderson Hwy., in Winnipeg, on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 6:00 pm. This is an open celebration.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any food bank or shelter in Manitoba.
