It’s with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Jerome Marks at the Middlechurch home of Winnipeg at the age of 87. Surrounded by his family; his passing while sad was a celebration of the inspiration he was to the family and friends who knew him well.
Jerome was predeceased by his parents Adam and Eva and loving sister Deanna. He will be missed greatly by his wife Josephine Marks, his children Wayne(Wendy), Keith, Kim(Andrew), and Kevin(Kelly), his sisters Louise, Rose and Jane, brother-in-law Sam and sister-in-law Florence, his grandchildren Bryan(Tanya), Alanah(J.D.), Adam(Kelly), Kris, Garrett, Courtney, Ethan(Olivia) and Kaleb as well as his great-grandchildren, Oliver, Elliot and Samuel.
Jerome lived a long and full life of joy and was a positive influence on all who met him, especially his grandchildren, which he spent many days playing and teaching the true meaning of a life well-lived. Jerome had many experiences to share over his working years but always kept his focus on his family life, cherishing time spent with each one of us. Jerome was always there with his tools and many learned skills to help his family and friends with any project that needed to be completed and passed these skills onto his children and grandchildren. Jerome was a self-taught musician who, at family gatherings, was always quick to instigate an ad-hoc band to entertain us all. He also had a love of art and created many unique paintings that adorn the walls of his family. He almost always was smiling but would beam with joy when surrounded by family.
Thanks to the wonderful caring staff at Middlechurch and the home-care team that supported the family over the past year. Jerome had a great influence on all his care givers with all of them specifically speaking about the positive attitude and loving nature of him and his family.
In keeping with Jerome’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date and time.

Josie & family, so sorry for your loss. Jerome always had a smile and was a great gentleman. His violin playing was a special addition to Mom & Dad’s dance band.
