It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Marie Anne Little (Loran) on Wednesday March 30, 2022 at the age of 85 years.
Left to cherish her memory is her son Bradley (Jill), her grandsons Branden (Miranda) and Justin (Cassie), sister-in-law Jo-Ann, nieces and nephews Carol(Reg), Donald (Sonja), Anthony (Lori), Jackie (Mike) and Raymond (Bernadine), and many lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond, parents Sophie and Frank and brother Donald Loran.
Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg where she learned to play piano and worked at Eaton’s, Ideal Brass and worked as a data entry clerk for a Bank. She loved to cook, her specialty being cabbage rolls and Piroshki, which everyone always raved about! She also really loved her pet cats that she had over years, in particular Nick and her absolute favorite, Pumpkin.
Shortly after her marriage to Raymond, they moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario to start a family. After returning to Winnipeg, Mom was a bookkeeper for several small companies in Winnipeg and then later in life she became a health care attendant.
Mom loved her coffee, with a Timmies never too far out of reach! She treasured time spent with family, especially her grandsons and she was so proud of their accomplishments. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 2310 Pembina Highway.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Cancer Care Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
