Barry Warriner Hewitt

Barry Warriner Hewitt rotated

Barry passed away suddenly on March 21, 2022 from an unexpected heart attack at the age of 85.

Barry and Sheila, his wife and soulmate of 67 years, started as the proud parents of four children, Maureen, Neil, Dave, and Don. Over the years the family grew to include 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Barry considered his greatest accomplishment being a dad and a grandpa. He loved fishing, skiing, curling, and telling a good joke. His fondest memories were sharing these passions with his family.

A service will be held on a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

the courage to change the things I can,

and the wisdom to know the difference.

  1. I had the privilege of spending many memorable hours at the Hewitt house on Pembroke Road. Barry was always incredibly kind and welcoming to me. I fondly remember him as an intelligent, witty man with a zest for life, a broad smile, and an infectious laugh. My heartfelt condolences to Sheila and the entire family. My thoughts are with you all, especially Don.
