In Loving Memory of Carolyn Mason (November 28, 1946 – June 11, 2024).

It is with great sorrow in our hearts, that the family announces the peaceful passing of Carolyn Mason on June 11, 2024 at the age of 77.

Our wife, mother, and grandmother, was born in Fawcett Hill, New Brunswick, on November 28, 1946. She moved from New Brunswick in 1987 with her husband Wayne and her son Aaron.

Carolyn dedicated her life to raising her children and enjoyed all the benefits and joys of being a grandmother. Although she was not with us long enough, we are all so grateful for the treasured memories she has left us with. We will cherish the moments we had with her and will spend the rest of our lives being all the things she hoped for us.

She always thought of others before herself and did so much for her friends and family, in-particular for her grandchildren that she loved immensely. Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother.

Her eyes sparkled as she held her grandchildren, sharing stories, giving them treats, watching their sporting events, and creating cherished memories with them. To them, she was “Nana” – a beacon of love and wisdom. She was a loving grandmother and up until recently, she was still spoiling them whenever she had the opportunity. Nana’s treats were always the best and she was so very loved!

Carolyn Mason was predeceased by her parents Nellie McMackin and William McMackin. She leaves to mourn, her husband Wayne Mason, children Aaron (Sandy), Lana, Jason (Tara), Lisa, Kevin (Judy), her stepsons Ross, Michael, Robin (Lise), and her grandchildren, Sterling, Preston, (Nina), Tristan, Trey, Caitlin, Gabrielle, and Shelby, Jordan, and Jason.

We would like to thank St. Boniface hospital and all the caring staff, nurses, and doctors who helped her in her last days. Carolyn’s legacy will live on through her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched.

As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember her with love, knowing that her memory will forever echo in our hearts.

As per Carolyn’s wishes, no public funeral services will be held.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us all.
