Wayne Wilson

November 29, 1950 – April 23, 2019

It is with heartbreaking sadness that I announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Wayne, while at the cottage with his wife on April 23, 2019.

Wayne was born in Ottawa on November 29, 1950.  In 1967 while away at school, Wayne met Sherry, his best friend and the love of his life.  In 1973, they were united in a marriage that would last a lifetime.  Wayne and Sherry were so deeply in love, they were seldom apart.

Wayne was a quiet man who enjoyed the simple things in life-he loved all sports and spending time at the cottage with his wife, where he could watch the birds and wildlife.

Wayne was honoured to be involved with the International Deaflympics, travelling as far as Germany to compete.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his beloved soulmate of 51 years, Sherry; brother-in-laws Carl, Joseph, Derek and Paul (Margaret); Godson Adam; Goddaughter Meghan; as well as many close friends.  He was predeceased by his furry friends: Danny #1, Danny #2 and Donny.

Sherry would like to thank the Jones family and Curtis Janis for all their help and support.  Thanks also to the Pinawa Paramedics & RCMP; and to Kathy Melnyk for being supportive in a time of need.

At Wayne’s request, there will be no service.  If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society (5 Kent Road Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X5)

Arrangements entrusted to Voyage Funeral Home (220 Hespeler Ave.  204-668-3151)

“WAYNE, I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART ?”
