Peacefully on April 30, 2019, Vera passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 93.
She was born in Kent, England and in 1946 she came to Canada as a war bride.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Lorne; brother Bob and son-in-law Cliff.
She is survived by her three daughters Carol, Marion (Gil) and Sandra (John); She has seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a very special sister Margaret in England.
Mom played the organ at Waskada United Church for 34 years. She busied herself as a farm wife, making the best homemade bread ever and preserving fruits and vegetables.
Thank you to all those at the hospital who cared for our mother.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m., at Kildonan United Church, 187 Kilbride Ave., with Rev. Mark Satterly officiating.
