May 15, 1962 – September 3, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Theodore (Ted) Toufanidis on September 3, 2020 at 58 years of age.
Left to cherish his memory is loving daughter Victoria and son Nicholas; and former wife Patty; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins across North America and Greece. He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Voula, and brother Jimmy.
Ted was born May 15, 1962 in Winnipeg, MB. Growing up in River Heights his parents worked extremely hard to give him and his brother a better life than what they had. This is where he developed many life long friendships that he cherished deeply. He loved sports whether it was watching them or playing them, hockey in particular. Ted also enjoyed spending his time reading and learning about business and world issues. Ted was gifted with a brilliant mind and a big heart, with this he would kindly share his knowledge and help close peers. He obtained a bachelor degree at University of Manitoba, leading him to McGill University to accomplish receiving a master’s degree.
He loved spending time with his children and attending their recreational activities. He would support them in everything that they did. Although he was fighting to overcome obstacles in life, Ted was known for his high intelligence and nice guy nature that touched many people.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Ave. Interment to follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens.
“We cherish our memories of you, Rest in Peace Dad. Always loved, forever missed, never forgotten.”

Became friends right away .That’s the kind of person he was.Always the peacemaker, hey sure ,what you gona do !as he always said.
Later on when we bumped into each other he greeted me with the first verse of
this song ,extending his arms to the side and moving side to side. (I can see you doing it now)
Shout
Shout
Let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come on
I’m talking to you
Come on
Shout
Shout
Let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come on
I’m talking to you
Come on
In violent times
You shouldn’t have to sell your soul
In black and white
They really really ought to know
Those one-track minds
That took you for a working boy
Kiss them goodbye
You shouldn’t have to jump for joy
You shouldn’t have to jump for joy
Shout
Shout
Let it all out
