Peter John Holleron

Peter John Holleron
September 22, 1932 – September 2, 2021

Peacefully, at home, with family by his side, Peter left us on his own terms, to begin a new journey on September 2, 2021.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 44 years, Audrey (nee Rodie); son Lee; granddaughter Aurora; son Wesley (Andrea); brother Ray and his family in England; along with nephews David and Neal Buxton and their family in England. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Brenda. He also leaves behind many family members on Audrey’s side, Barbara and Ron Toon and family; Georgette and Rick Holberg and family; Craig Medynski; and Michael Kohut and family.

Peter worked as a Boilermaker at Canadian National Railway retiring in 1993. He loved to golf and was a long time member of the Winnipeg Canoe Club, followed by Transcona Golf Club and then the LaVerendrye Golf Course. He loved to golf summers in Manitoba and winters in Canyon Lake, Texas. Peter and Audrey spent 27 winters there – as he would say – we would golf every day and then head to the bars until Covid stopped further trips. Peter was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #215.

Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team who visited Peter daily; especially “Freddie”.

Rest in peace Honey, until we meet again. All my love, Audrey

Peter helped find me my first job in Canada at the C.N.R. in 1967 when we first came here. and I never ever forgot that, he was a true friend. We had a lot of fun times, him being a true Scoucer and me a Geordie, such a good mix. Rest In Peace Pete…..Ken & Mary Butchart.
