Paulo Jorge Cabral

March 25, 1967 – February 20th, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Paulo Jorge Cabral on February 20th, 2023 at the age of 55. Paul is predeceased by his father, Armando. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Maria, his girlfriend, Sandra, his brothers, and sisters, nieces, and nephews, as well as his 5 adoring children, Shianne, Tiffany, Jasmine, Dylan, and Logan, as well as his beloved grandchildren, Dominic, Vanna, Cairo, and, Ava.

His family takes comfort in knowing that it was painless and peaceful with his loved ones at his side. This was extremely important to him.

Paul was a passionate and kind man. He was a giver, a mentor, a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He touched the hearts of every person he encountered. Paul was a adoring son, loved dearly by his parents, Armando and Maria. He was a source of pride and inspiration to them both.

He was a creative, intelligent, and goal-oriented man. Stucco was his pride and joy. His work was impeccable, it was his favourite trade to work in, but of course not his only skill. Paul flipped homes when stucco season was over, and he also did remodelling at clients’ requests. With every job he completed, he left his clients with an everlasting positive impression with his incredible personality and his impeccable work. His work ethic was incredible and brought him joy, but there was no greater love and role than being a father.

Paul was exceptionally proud of his 5 children. Shianne, Tiffany, Jasmine, Dylan, and Logan. He raised his children to be intelligent, goal-oriented, and confident individuals embracing their unique and diverse personalities and gifts. He always offered words of affirmation and pushed each of his children to follow their dreams and be the best they could be. His spirit lives on in the legacy he passed on to his children.

Paul spent 3 wonderful years with Sandra. Their relationship was described by many as beautiful and a tale of irrevocable love. Paul was someone who more often than not was all smiles. When they began their journey together, his happiness truly came to fruition. There was never a moment when they were together that he didn’t have a smile on his face. His laughter always filled the room with joy, his smile glowed with positivity, and he had a light in his eyes that shined as bright as the sun. He describes Sandra as the love of his life. She brought him true peace and happiness.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street North, with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave.

A Celebration of Life will follow on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 4:00 p.m., at X-Cues Café, located at 551 Sargent Ave

His Journey’s Just Begun
Don’t think of him as gone away–
his journey’s just begun;
life holds so many facets–
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know, today,
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost–
and he was loved so much.

  3. I was fortunate enough to meet Paul via his daughter Jasmine. I had the pleasure of teaching her and his son Dylan. He was supportive, kind and had a fabulous sense of humour. He was a light for his children, and was available to provide words of wisdom, humility, grace and respect in guiding them on their own individual paths. It is not often that you come across people who simply, “get it.” Through he own adversities he we able to share learned experiences with his children. He will be missed by all who met and we him. He had that effect – someone who was relatable. Your children will continue to share the stories and pass along your beautiful soul. You live on through the legacy of each one of them. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you now and always. Much love to each of you from our family ❤️

Then his brother Vic came to work with my crew and I got to know the boys better. Vic brought Paul out to my farm a couple times and he said he enjoyed himself and I’m glad he did . Vic I hope your pain is short and your memories are long,I thought Paul was a great guy.

  8. Paul and I go back to our teenager days and we had many conversations at X-Cues. He was indeed a fighter and someone I respected. He fought hard to meet his goals and for his kids. The description of how he felt about his girlfriend Sandra could not be more accurate. He would light up when he spoke of her. He lived his life on his terms, with courage, honour and conviction. I’m going to miss our conversation. Paul was taken much too soon, may he rest in peace.

  9. Good guy, many good conversations and laughs at xcues. Always spoke highly of his family and friends, will be missed. Our condolences to his family and all that were lucky enough to know him.

I remember Paul from our school days. Even then he always had a smile on his face and was a nice guy. I have been friends with Sandra since elementary school. I also remember that even during our Hugh John McDonald school days Paul always liked Sandra. I was so happy when Sandra told me that they had started seeing each other. It was like destiny finally brought them together. Taken too soon. My Condolences to Sandra, his family and loved ones. May he Rest in Peace.
