Patricia Eleanor McKenna Nee Brownson

Patricia Eleanor McKenna Nee Brownson

On May 7 at the age of 74, Patricia passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness.

Mom will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years Kevin; daughters Deborah and Tanis (Julian); grandchildren Josh, Brayden and Mckenna; along with numerous extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Margaret; father Archibald; stepmother Lillian; and siblings Ronnie and Irene.

Many thanks to the wonderful and dedicated staff at the St. Boniface Dialysis Department for the care and compassion they provided mom over the last decade. Special thanks to mom’s number one girls Michelle and Geraldine who held a very special place in mom’s heart.

As per her wishes, no service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada/ Manitoba Branch.

Tell me, what does it look like in heaven?
Is it peaceful? Is it free like they say?
Does the sunshine bright forever?
Have your fears and your pain gone away?
Cause here on earth it feels like everything good is missing
since you left and here on earth everything’s different
and here on earth, there’s an emptiness.

“Even though you left us too soon mom, you will be eternally in our hearts and never be forgotten. Good-bye Mom, until we meet again.”

  1. Pat & Paul De Craene

Our most sincere condolences. Pat’s endurance and tenacity is serving as an inspiration to many dialysis patients. She is sadly missed.

  2. My deepest sympathies Kevin, Deborah and Tanis. I remember Pat with many warm thoughts-she helped me through a very hard time in my life and was a huge support. I admired you both Kevin, the strength you gave each other in your marriage when I knew you both has been an inspiration. I learned a lot from Pat, even to do my own taxes, and she was in my thoughts just a few weeks ago as I completed our taxes this year. God Bless you all and I wish you all peace as you grieve.
