Marlene Hatch, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on Saturday, February 16, at the Grace Hospital.
She is survived by daughters Stacey Bittner (Clay) and Kerri Schultz (Jeff); cherished grandchildren Cameron and Megan Bittner and Matthew Schultz. Also left to mourn her passing is her travel companion and devoted friend Lloyd Hryniuk. As well, she leaves behind brothers John Krueger (Wilda) and Henry Krueger (Linda), sister Alice Mullin (Barry); along with several nieces and nephews.
Born in Brandon on May 25, 1947; Marlene spent her early years in the Killarney area and later became a long-time public servant in Manitoba. She was one of the original employees of MPI and also served with Manitoba Hydro and Manitoba Archives.
At Marlene’s request cremation has taken place and no funeral or memorial service will be held. As per her wishes, she will be buried in the family plot with her parents David and Katarina Krueger and grandparents Henry and Agatha Lepp at Rivers Cemetery.
In her memory, if desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of Manitoba.
