Katherine Joan Warner

Peacefully at the Grace Hospice on January 11, 2019, Katherine (Joan) Warner of Winnipeg, MB, passed away after a brave fight with Cancer.

She was born in Portage La Prairie in 1948 to Military parents Walter and Lorretta Warner. Joan retired in 2013 after many years with PPG Glass in Winnipeg and enjoyed her retirement years.

Joan was predeceased by both her parents; sister Dawne Nash; and brother Pat Warner.

She leaves to mourn her passing her brother David (Linda) Warner, sister Helen (Bob) Patrick; nieces Tamara Warner, Sarah (Alex) Mattes and Amy (Tim Caldwell) Nash; nephews Craig Nash, Terry (Danielle) Patrick and Tom (Silvana) Patrick; along with her great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be missed by all her family.

A special thank you to the staff at the Grace Hospice for their loving care.

At Joan’s request cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

If friends and family desire, a donation to the Grace Hospice in Joan’s memory would be appreciated.

Dear Dave, Helen and Family, We just learned of Joan’s passing. We have many fond memories of Churchill and all of the happy times we spent as kids in the most unlikely of places. We are so sorry for your loss and want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Cathy (Richards) and Bob Gray) Ottawa

  2. Helen,Dave, and families,I was shocked to read of Joan’s passing! It was so nice to have connected with her and you,Helen, at our fiftieth class reunion in Sept. 2016. Thinking of you at this time of missing Joan. With sadness and sympathy . Margo
