It is with sadness we announce the passing of Hilda Wiebe on January 1, 2019, at Bethania Personal Care Home.
Hilda was born on November 20, 1928, in Stolzenau, Kleine Geest, Germany.
Hilda is survived by daughter Clarie-Ann (John), their daughter Nicole Ripley (Dave); son Michael Wiebe (Karen), their son Nealian Wiebe (Jacqueline), and great-grandchildren Kaiya and Kaeden. She is also survived by her brother Gunther Kastenschmidt (Brigitte), her sister Irmtraut Rathman (Gunther) in Germany, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and Germany. Hilda was predeceased by her parents; cherished, idolized and beloved husband of 52 years, Cornelius (Corny), and brothers Werner, Carl, Fritz, Ernst, Willi, Walter, and Heinrich.
A Huge and heartfelt thank you to the kind and professional staff at Bethania Personal Care Home and especially the Centre Station who took such excellent care of our Mother for the past 6 years.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019, at the First Mennonite Church on Notre Dame and Alverstone. Private family internment has taken place.
