Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the age of 95.
He is survived by his wife Edith; their six children, Rob, Lynne, Sandy, Kim, Rae,
and Shona; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Gerald was born in Winnipeg on January 14, 1924. In 1941 he enlisted in the army and served overseas where he met Edith. In May of 1945, they married in Dundee Scotland. They lived in Winnipeg where they raised their children, and Gerald worked in the paint industry. In 1966 he started his own company Strome Sales.
Throughout his life, he treasured his family and friends. He was known for his kindness, generosity, goodwill, and for being a true gentleman. His smile and good humor have endeared him to many. He will be missed.
