With sadness we announce the passing of Gail on November 15, 2019 with family at her side.
Survived by her husband, Howard; four children, Dawn, Kate (Mike), Sharon (Terry) and Doug (Liza); nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister Colleen (Don); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Gordon.
After her retirement 25 years ago Gail got to enjoy her two favorite things, traveling and reading Stephen King novels. She started travelling with Howard by car and then motor home so Sam and then Pepper could go, and then 10 years ago traveling by ship. She loved cruising and trying new adventures – climbing extinct volcanoes, zip lining, swimming with the dolphins and stingrays. The last few years were spent researching and writing two books with our family history.
As per her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 25 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Our condolences are sent to you Sharon and your family. It’s heart breaking to loss a mom and words can not express the sorrow but we were glad that we were there to hug you, to be in your presence and company. Knowing your mother is not in pain and resting in peace gives comfort that she had lived a great life. Our hearts are with you and your family.
