It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Gail passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 66 at Concordia Hospital.

She is survived by her loving husband Sig; their dog Buddy; children Kurtis Scott (Casey), Terry Scott (Julie), Jeremy and Jolene Loewen; grandchildren Mathew, Alysha, Erin, Rebecca, Nikolas, Haiden, Cameron, Brandon, and Nylah; special Aunt Anita Heidman; siblings Ernie Bremner (Joanne), Dennis Bremner and Cheryl King (Bruce); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gail loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved entertaining and even more, loved cooking for them; but she always wanted compliments on her cooking too. In the summer she loved being out at the lake in Beausejour and loved tubing down the river, even if it was with an umbrella, as she got her nickname “Queen of the Nile”. She will be greatly missed by many family and friends.

A special thank you for the loving care from Concordia Hospital – 2nd floor east, and the intensive care unit staff.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Hwy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the City of Winnipeg Animal Services.

  1. Dermot and I want to express our deepest condolences Kurt and Zig and family and extended family. It’s never easy but if it has relieved Gail’s suffering then bless her in whatever hope she had for the peace she has found. Rest in Peace Gail. ???‍♀️??
