Gabrielle Jahns nee Beauchamp

After a cancer diagnosis on February 1st, 2023, Gabrielle passed away peacefully in her home on March 15th, 2023, with her daughter by her side.

Gabrielle was predeceased by her husband, Joachim (Joe) Jahns; her parents Ferdinand and Maria Beauchamp (nee Boyer); her sisters Estelle Poirier (nee Beauchamp) and Dianne Barr (nee Beauchamp); and brother in-law Joe Senden.

Gabrielle will be greatly missed by her daughter Pamela (Brent); grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, and Keifer; great-granddaughter Echo; sister Sylvia; and brother-in-law Charles; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Gabrielle grew up in Vassar, MB., where her parents owned a store with pool tables. Later, she became a teacher and moved to Churchill, MB where she met my dad. We moved back to Winnipeg in 1978, where she led a quiet life. She loved playing game, she was very artistic, and loved shopping; as well as spending lots of time with her grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Gabrielle was grateful to have had time with her great granddaughter, Echo and wished she had longer to watch her grow.

A celebration of life will follow at a later date.

“Although you’re gone from us, your spirit will live in all our hearts. Your peace is our peace. We love you and miss you every day.”

  1. Deepest condolences to the family. God must have needed a very special angel so He chose our Gabrielle. I enjoyed my time with her and I will miss her dearly. ❤️
