April 21, 1955 – April 9, 2024
With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Koukum, Sister, Aunty and Friend Fern Kirton on April 9, 2024, after a long battle with Cancer with family by her side.
Fern leaves to mourn her passing, her son Karl; daughter-in-law Cheyanne; her grandchildren Dakota, Ashlyn, Daieton, Dallas, Kyler, Kandra, Keanna, Kaydence, and Cheyenne; her brother Randy; sisters Star (Aubry), Darlene (Heather), Annie (Jacko), and Dorothy; nieces Kyla (Johnnie AKA Kid Rock), Mandy, Tara and Crystal; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Fern was also a second mama to many of the boys in the hood, including Chris, Dave, Kevin and Joey. Fern was predeceased by her sons,
Herman and E.P. (Edward), grandson Darius, granddaughter Serenity, special friend Kenny, her mom Thelma, dad Peter, brother Rockey, and sister Dianne.
Fern loved her family very much and anyone who had the privilege to know her will love and miss her forever.
A special thank you to the palliative care team. In her final days, they gave her comfort and compassion. Angels without wings. She was a true fighter right till the end.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy.
