1941 – 2021
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Efie on December 28, 2021, at home with his wife Lilly of 56 years, by his side. His boys Raymond (Cheryl) and Edward (Janice) were the love of his life. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Nicole, Andrew, Jessyqua, Jelyssa, and Quintin; brother Rick (Deb); brother-in-law Fred (Penny) Paesel; sisters-in-law Heddy Jacobson and Dorothy (Lloyd) Wright along with several nieces and nephews.
Efie was a private person, and in keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

My thoughts are with you Lily, Rick and family at this time. I recall many good times growing up with Efie. We walked to school meeting Efie halfway or following his ski trail. Fun baseball and dodgeball games at recess stick in my mind. Mein, my mom Vera Zebrun and Muriel Green were best friends at Belair so Christmas concerts, basket socials and holiday gatherings were very special times we spent together as kids. Good memories. My deepest condolences to all of you, it’s heartbreaking to lose a loved one. Many hugs.

Just remembering the man I knew well from many years ago. I shared a bunkhouse room with Efie in 1965 at Werner Lake, and remember him as quiet and courteous, and very much looking forward to his life with Lily. Rest in peace, my old friend from many years past.
