It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Dorothy, on Sunday, June 16th, 2019 at the age of 68.
Dorothy will be remembered with love by her children, Penny (Pat), Terri (Mike), Lonny, adopted son Louie; many grandchildren including Renee, Ocean (Devin), Taryn; sisters, Darlene (Terry), Flora, Debbie, Brenda (Archie) and Della; brothers, Melvin (Kim) and Albert (Lydia); and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy took great pride in her years on the Tenants Association board with her best friend Margaret, her hardworking nature and her knack for spelling. She loved to spend most of her time in the company of her family and her cat, Poe. In her spare time, Dorothy loved to paint and color, she also enjoyed relaxing at the West Kildonan Legion and could be found playing a game of Keno or participating in the meat draw. She will be missed by so many.
A celebration of life will be held for Dorothy at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019 at the West Kildonan Legion, 1748 Main Street. Wheelchair access available at the rear of the building.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
