August 11, 1952 – June 24, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane on June 24, 2020 at 5:46 p.m. Diane passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at home.
She is survived by her spouse Fred; their dog Ryder; children Jeremy Loewen (Lisa) and Jolene Loewen; grandchildren Ivy, Jarred and Phoenix; great-grandchildren, Abel and Arianna; mother Margaret Petkau; siblings James Petkau (Lucy), Kathleen Grieg (Roy), Irene Wall (Trevor), Jerry Petkau (Jamie) and Lori Friesen – Streamer (Dale); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Jacob Petkau and brother in-law Alan Friesen.
Diane loved to spend time with her family and friends, planning and organizing the family events. She loved the country western life style and lived in Calgary from 1996 to 2006, where she met Fred, her partner of 24 years. Then moved back to Winnipeg in 2006. She started working as a T.A., with the Winnipeg School division before she retired. She also loved to travel, explore and learn about the history of places she visited.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 11:00 am, – 28065 Rd 79N, East Selkirk, M.B.
