It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of David James Bower, of Winnipeg on May 25th at the age of 70 years. David passed away after a 2-year battle with cancer.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Bower and their two children, Chad and wife Heather Bower and Chelsea and husband Chris Velasco. Also missing him will be his sisters Edie Stubbs, Ruth and her husband Bill Panter, in-laws Warren and Terry Norman and Wayne and Cheryl Norman and many nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by his parents, James and Olga and by his brother-in-law, Rod Stubbs.
As a family we are truly grateful for the love and support from the brothers and sisters in the truth. The calls, texts, and meals, were always timely and so thoughtful.
The family would also like to thank Dr Paul, Dr Ogaranko, Lana, Maureen and the Riverview Palliative care team. The care he received from these individuals was exceptional in their professionalism, support and concern.
Although it breaks our hearts to see him pass, we are brought comfort through our hope that in the near future we will be reunited through Jehovah’s promise of the resurrection. (Acts 24:15)

So sorry to hear of Dave passing away. He will be so missed by you Sharon, and his children. We often spoke of going fishing on Lake of the Woods when you both kindly included our grandsons for an entire day on the Lake. There will be very many memories to help you focus on the happy times that will in time over come the deep sadness you are all feeling just now. We will see you via Zoom on Monday but I’m sure you will be finding it all very overwhelming for days to come.
